Flat Glass Rooflight
Simple to order, looks great fitted - job done. Chosen for our open-plan kitchen/diner because the room felt gloomy. Clear options depending on the look you’re after. Good range and the guidance helped us choose quickly. The daylight spreads really evenly across the room. Delivery updates were clear and it arrived when expected.

Installation guidance

Designed for secure installation on flat and low-pitch roofs

The Brett Martin Flat Glass Rooflight is engineered for straightforward installation onto a builder’s upstand or compatible PVC kerb. It is suitable for fixed, manual opening and powered opening formats.

2° to 15° roof pitch The rooflight must be installed at a suitable pitch to allow rainwater to drain correctly.
Builder’s upstand Designed to fit the outside dimension of a correctly prepared timber upstand.
PVC kerb option Can also be installed with a compatible PVC kerb where specified.
Fixed or opening formats Installation method varies depending on whether the rooflight is fixed, manual or powered opening.

Installation checklist

Check the roof pitch is between 2° and 15°.
Use the supplied pitch matrix to confirm the minimum pitch for the selected size.
Ensure the upstand is weathered, insulated and square before fitting.
Measure the upstand in multiple places to confirm the opening is accurate.
Follow the relevant installation guide for fixed, manual or powered opening variants.

Key measurement details

External upstand Rooflight size +40 / -20mm.
Internal upstand Rooflight size -150mm, with +30 / -0mm tolerance.
