Installation guidance

Designed for secure installation on flat and low-pitch roofs

The Mardome Trade Fixed Polycarbonate Rooflight can be installed onto a prepared builder’s upstand or supplied with a PVC kerb, depending on the project and site requirements.

Builder’s upstand For projects where a suitable structural, insulated and weathered upstand has already been prepared.
✓
150mm PVC kerb A practical option where integrated waterproofing height is required.
✓
300mm PVC kerb A higher kerb option for projects requiring additional upstand height.
✓
Manual trickle vents Available where background ventilation is required while keeping the rooflight fixed.

Installation checklist

Check the roof opening is square, clean and ready before installation.
Ensure the upstand is correctly dimensioned, insulated and weathered.
Install the glazing with the UV-resistant layer facing upwards, as marked.
Follow the official installation guide for fixing, sealing and finishing requirements.

Important fitting note

Avoid placing blinds directly below the glazing. If blinds are used, choose light-coloured blinds and position them away from the rooflight to help reduce the risk of thermal stress.

Minimum upstand height and roof pitch requirements should always be checked against the official installation guide and relevant building regulations.

Standard Mardome Trade Fixed Polycarbonate Rooflights are typically delivered within 1–2 working days, with free delivery available to UK mainland addresses.

Free mainland delivery Available to UK mainland addresses.
12 noon cut-off Monday to Friday orders placed before 12 noon are prioritised.

How your rooflight is delivered

Delivered kerbside by the Brett Martin transport fleet or an approved delivery partner.
Someone should be available on the day of delivery to receive and move the rooflight safely.
Goods should be checked on arrival and any visible damage reported as soon as possible.

Delivery cost

Delivery is free to UK mainland addresses.

For non-mainland, remote or restricted postcode areas, please contact our team before placing your order so we can confirm whether delivery can be arranged.
