daylight
All direct, diffused, reflected and refracted light from the sun in daytime.

daylighting
The choice, art, science or practice of using daylight as the primary daytime light source in a room or building.

illuminance
Used to describe brightness, or the concentration of light striking a surface. Measured in Lux.

luminance
Used to describe glare: this is always directional, & depends on position of observer and light source. Various techniques & units are used to describe glare.

daylight factor
The illuminance at a point expressed as a % of the simultaneous illuminance under an overcast sky.
